Salt Springs State Park Enhancements

The Werner Boyce Salt Springs State Park project involves several different improvements to the existing park facilities. These improvements include the replacement of existing boardwalks through wetlands, installation of new boardwalks, an ADA-compliant new kayak launch, and other new facilities with ADA accessibility and additional safety features.

The project involved the demolition and reconstruction of two of the minor league playing fields and the demolition of five of the remaining fields, with a single field located in the southwest corner of the property remaining untouched.

Tampa Bay Watch Dock Expansion

EAP with help from GFY surveyors was asked to provide survey, hydrographic, ecological, wetland and permitting services for the expansion and improvement of the Tampa Bay Watch facility, and the ability to continue to provide conservation, scientific and educational activities.

Shorecrest Preparatory School

EAP provided environmental services on this project for Shorecrest Preparatory School.  Shorecrest is a private, college preparatory day school for students through the 12th Grade;  it is the oldest independent day school in the state of Florida.

Ken Thompson Park Living Shoreline

The project involved developing protection for the existing beach and park using a “livable shoreline” against erosion and loss of habitat. EAP provided a living shoreline design specifically for the park with minimal “hard” structures.
