Bill didn’t plan to follow in his father’s footsteps when he studied finance at the University of Florida, but the GFY people and culture hooked him during a planned “short” employment.

He works continuously to drive the company into the future. He has dedicated his life to family, business, and community involvement; Bill has been a past Chair and loyal member of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, Incoming Chair of Greater St Petersburg EDC, Chair of the Bay Care Medical Group Board, past chair of the South Pinellas County Salvation Army Board and he serves on other advisory boards.

Heather wears many hats in our company and is always on the go. She was born and raised in Indiana and now lives in Sarasota with her son. She travels home at any chance to be with family – especially her two nieces, whom she loves to spoil. While in Florida, she enjoys being on the water, fishing with her son, and boating.

Heather’s hobbies include all aspects of design. She is creative and has a passion for interior design. A fun fact about Heather is that she collects shoes – her favorites are stilettos and sneakers. Her other passions are her family and career. A typical weekend for Heather consists of watching college football – Go Michigan – and spending time with her friends and family. Between her job as a “mom taxi,” she also enjoys being social, trying out new restaurants, and attending a Pilates class on occasion.

Austin is an innovative real estate professional with a passion for the outdoors and a knack for DIY projects. When he’s not closing deals, you’ll find him exploring the great outdoors, whether it’s on the golf course at Feather Sound Country Club, casting a line for catch-and-release fishing adventures, or renovating houses for himself and his loved ones.

A proud UCF Knight, Austin enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his energetic German Shepherd-Australian mix and his spirited 3-year-old daughter. Weekends often include leisurely morning walks, neighborhood truck and bike rides with his daughter, and family dinners on Sunday nights.

Brenda Anderson, GFY’s Chief Financial Officer, is the mother of two beautiful children that keep her pretty busy when she is not at work! On the weekends, Brenda and her family enjoy going to Lowry Park Zoo, riding bikes, and spending time in the pool. They also love exploring new places but tend to wind up with friends and neighbors at the beach.

In her free time, Brenda adores playing and watching sports; her favorite local team is the Tampa Bay Lightning! She grew up playing softball and volleyball and even played in rec leagues as she got older. Along with sports, Brenda also plays the guitar and would like to learn how to play the violin.

Matt loves to spend time with his family, go to theme parks, and travel when he’s off the clock. Every summer Matt, his wife, and two children spend quality time at their Michigan cabin or abroad. Their next family trip will be to Chicago – Matt is very excited to experience another Cubs game and hackle the players. Matt enjoys watching all sports; however, his favorite teams are the Chicago Cubs, Tampa Bay Rays, and Dallas Cowboys. A typical weekend for Matt involves taking his children to their sports games/practices and chilling on the couch after finishing his honey-do list.

A fun fact about Matt is that he loves landscape photography and takes a picture of the sunrise on his way to work every morning. When asked what was on his bucket list, Matt answered he would love to travel to Australia and Scotland.

Scott serves as President of CPR who has specialized in office and industrial properties for investment, development, and sales and leasing in the Florida market since 1985. Over the last 36 years, Scott has helped hundreds of clients with their commercial property needs. As a co-founder of CPR in 1985, he merged with George F. Young (GFY), allowing both firms to bring a full-service experience to their clients and the communities they serve.

As a leader in commercial real estate, Scott enjoys mentoring new agents and supporting the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors – for which he was also a founding member.

Steven is a seasoned Engineering professional with a zest for life that extends far beyond the boardroom. When he’s not immersed in unpacking boxes from his recent move to the ‘Burg from California, you’ll likely find him indulging in his favorite hobbies: golfing, mountain biking, playing pickleball, or skeetshooting.

Sports and travel hold a special place in Steve’s heart. As a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and former semi-pro hockey player, he has a deep appreciation for the game. His love for travel knows no bounds, Steve has explored over 20 countries and every state in the US, making sure to visit all national parks and monuments along the way.

But it’s not just about personal pursuits for Steve—he’s also deeply committed to giving back. From volunteering with Engineering Ministries International on a mission trip in Mexico, to aspiring to do more with the organization in the future, Steve’s philanthropic spirit shines through in all aspects of his life.
