Bill didn’t plan to follow in his father’s footsteps when he studied finance at the University of Florida, but the GFY people and culture hooked him during a planned “short” employment.

He works continuously to drive the company into the future. He has dedicated his life to family, business, and community involvement; Bill has been a past Chair and loyal member of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, Incoming Chair of Greater St Petersburg EDC, Chair of the Bay Care Medical Group Board, past chair of the South Pinellas County Salvation Army Board and he serves on other advisory boards.

Brenda Anderson, GFY’s Chief Financial Officer, is the mother of two beautiful children that keep her pretty busy when she is not at work! On the weekends, Brenda and her family enjoy going to Lowry Park Zoo, riding bikes, and spending time in the pool. They also love exploring new places but tend to wind up with friends and neighbors at the beach.

In her free time, Brenda adores playing and watching sports; her favorite local team is the Tampa Bay Lightning! She grew up playing softball and volleyball and even played in rec leagues as she got older. Along with sports, Brenda also plays the guitar and would like to learn how to play the violin.

With over 29 years of experience in civil engineering, Angel Rivera, PE, stands out in the industry. As the Director of Civil Engineering, he not only drives the department’s growth but also ensures the successful execution of all civil engineering projects. Throughout his career, he has managed and worked on over 400 projects across the United States and the Caribbean, providing him with exposure to a wide range of site conditions. He believes that professional growth stems from navigating different cultures and languages daily.

In his free time, Angel cherishes every moment spent with his wife, daughter, and their beloved cats, Percy and Apollo. He thrives outdoors, passionately engaging in activities like tennis, pickleball, running, cycling, and open-water swimming. He also takes time to relax by watching soccer and immersing himself in captivating movies.

Steven is a seasoned Engineering professional with a zest for life that extends far beyond the boardroom. When he’s not immersed in unpacking boxes from his recent move to the ‘Burg from California, you’ll likely find him indulging in his favorite hobbies: golfing, mountain biking, playing pickleball, or skeetshooting.

Sports and travel hold a special place in Steve’s heart. As a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and former semi-pro hockey player, he has a deep appreciation for the game. His love for travel knows no bounds, Steve has explored over 20 countries and every state in the US, making sure to visit all national parks and monuments along the way.

But it’s not just about personal pursuits for Steve—he’s also deeply committed to giving back. From volunteering with Engineering Ministries International on a mission trip in Mexico, to aspiring to do more with the organization in the future, Steve’s philanthropic spirit shines through in all aspects of his life.
