Richard Sawyer, PSM, CH, has over 40 years of expertise in delivering complex marine, coastal, and geospatial projects throughout the Eastern United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Caribbean. His experience spans hydrographic surveying, coastal mapping, marine construction and dredging, underwater remote sensing, multibeam bathymetry, UAV photogrammetry, and LiDAR. Richard’s career is defined by comprehensive, field-to-finish project management, from proposal development and scope definition to data acquisition, QA/QC, reporting, and client delivery. As an early adopter and advocate for multibeam bathymetry and GPS-based coastal mapping, he continually integrates emerging tools like UAV LiDAR and remote sensing to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and value for clients.
