PROJECT OVERVIEW

Tierra Verde Force Main Relocation

George F. Young, Inc. provided design, permitting & bidding services for relocation and replacement of a subaqueous 12-inch sanitary sewer force main at the Tierra Verde Bridge on SR 693. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is planning to replace the Tierra Verde Bridge with a new high-level, fixed bridge that will be located along the existing subaqueous force main route. The new 16” HDPE main is installed by directional drilling at a length of approximately 2,200 feet: total project length is 3,400 feet. The HDD included a bundled pipe array providing additional conduit for frontier Communications and Spectrum Communications.

George F. Young, Inc. assisted the City in structuring Joint Participation Agreements (JPAs) with Verizon and Bright house and designed replacement facilities for these utilities including a bundled horizontal direction drill pipeline crossing.
