George F. Young, Inc. provided Master Planning, Land Use Plan and Zoning Amendments, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Surveying, Subsurface Utility Location, Construction Administration, Construction Staking, Environmental Permitting and Ecological services for a 483,000 SF, and 6-story mixed-use development consisting of 326 dwelling units; 42,600 SF of retail/restaurant space and 6 levels of structured parking in downtown St. Petersburg.
Special design considerations included constructing the project over Booker Creek, zero setback high-rise construction and direct proximity to the Tropicana Baseball Field. Services included streetscape design to meet Plaza Parkway requirements, major utility relocation, alley vacation, replatting, utility extensions, parking and underground stormwater management to satisfy the project infrastructure requirements. Permitting was necessary through the City of St. Petersburg, SWFWMD and FDEP.
