PROJECT OVERVIEW
Duke Energy Corporate Headquarters
George F. Young, Inc. provided Civil Engineering & Landscape Architecture services for this $70 million, 220,000-square foot, 16 story mixed-use corporate headquarters for Duke Energy (Progress Energy). The building features 8,000 square feet of retail space that anchors a full block redevelopment including condominiums as well as a Kessler Collection four-diamond luxury Grand Bohemian hotel. A 500 space parking garage was also included as part of the project.
Landscape Architecture services included exterior landscaping and hardscape surrounding the building, which incorporated decorative pavers, re-installation of a historical City of St. Petersburg Terrazzo Medallion, lighted bollards, adjacent street lighting, and a rainwater channelling system to irrigate plant material near the entry canopy.
