George F. Young, Inc. is providing engineering services for replacing ageing water main infrastructure in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg. The new water mains will replace approximately 4,100 lf of pipe ranging from 8” to 2” in diameter. The City’s existing cast iron pipelines were initially installed in the 1940s and replacement of the water mains avoids pending emergency repairs in the heavily trafficked downtown corridor. The project is being developed based on the current and projected demands necessary to service the downtown core area.
